I always wondered why the church has always frowned upon humans enjoying their sexuality. Is this because sexual pleasure could potentially be an overwhelming distraction for people? Could sexual pleasure weaken the need to seek god?

I am catholic. The talk of sexuality in the Catholic church has always been a tabu. Something to not talk of. As an adult I love sex and have found nothing wrong with sex toys nor the pleasure of any sexual activity. I have no idea why it’s a non-spoken language. It’s how we all arrived on this planet.
